M2M at ISC West 2022: 5G-Ready Dual-SIM Alarm Communicator

ISC West 2022 will be held March 22-25 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas. Ahead of this year’s show, SSI heard from Phillip Galaboff, chief strategy officer at M2M Services. He discusses what the company will be showcasing at ISC West, its value proposition and more.

What is a leading product or offering your company is showing off at ISCW this year, and what makes it unique or special?

We will be exhibiting our universal residential burglary alarm communicator MiNi-LTE-M-AV that comes with a revolutionary Hardware-as-a-Service business model. The device was a category winner in Communications and Networking Solutions at the last year’s SIA New Product Showcase. The MiNi-LTE-M-AV is 5G-ready, Dual SIM, working on both AT&T and Verizon’s LTE-M networks in the same radio. It supports Keybus integration and Upload/Download for Honeywell Vista, DSC PS and Interlogix NX panels.

What’s unique about our program is that we are the first vendor to offer a free radio and charge only for the cellular service. We also provide the customer with a lifetime warranty and free upgrades in case of any future network sunsets.

Any other products or offerings would you like to highlight?

Another key product is the MQ03-LTE-M-LAN-AV. It is the only Dual SIM, Dual Path universal burglary cellular communicator on the market. The device is certified for both residential and commercial burglary applications and mirrors all the features of the MiNi-LTE-M-AV – AT&T and Verizon in one radio, Keybus integration and UDL support for the most popular alarm panels.

Thanks to the additional IP path it provides an exceptional redundancy for the more critical installations.

What else is new or noteworthy about the company for 2022?

The key development for our company is the expansion of our alarm communicator portfolio to include LTE-M radios, working on the latest AT&T’s and Verizon’s LTE-CAT-M1 networks which can extend our products’ life to more than 10 years.

We are also piloting our own smart home solution — namely a hub which will connect to peripherals through Z-Wave and WiFi and will provide the user with a single point of control. The hub will work with our MiNi-LTE-M-AV through USB port connection which is another major advantage as it will give our customers even more opportunities to upsell.

What is your company’s overall value proposition to security dealers/integrators? Why should they do business with you?

We are currently well positioned on the market as the only vendor delivering Dual SIM, Dual Operator and 5G-ready dial capture radios. We are extremely customer focused company; our technical support team always picks up the phone and is there for our clients whenever they need us.

Our long-term strategy is to continue offering innovative security solutions, that help the alarm business retain customers and increase RMR.

What challenges do you solve for the security dealers?

The 3G/CDMA sunset and the chip shortage has created the perfect storm for the alarm industry. We are helping our customers to weather the storm through our innovative business model, reliable services, availability and second to none customer service.

Another, and what possibly has become the biggest challenge for alarm companies, is the lack of inventory with most of the manufacturers because of the global chip shortage. We have been lucky or prudent or both to stock early and well and are currently enjoying a very strong inventory position with respect to most of our competitors.
