Magos Systems’ New SR-150 Radar Designed for Small Perimeters

The new Magos Systems SR-150 radar detection device serves integrators as a solution that can enhance radar detection and larger locations that need to fill in gaps to address dead zones in perimeter security protection.

REHOVOT, IsraelMagos Systems, a manufacturer of radar detection solutions, has announced its SR-150 radar that it says is designed to secure smaller sites.

The company explains that its latest product serves integrators as a solution that can enhance radar detection and larger locations that need to fill in gaps to address dead zones in perimeter security protection.

“We developed the SR-150 radar to provide our customers with a comprehensive portfolio of radar detection technologies,” says Yaron Zussman, general manager, Magos Americas. “With the addition of the SR-150, we now offer a variety of radar detection solutions that cover short range and long-range radar detection needs, at several different price points for customers.”

According to the company, the small form factor of the SR-150 is an important addition to its line of ground-based radar detection systems. Magos Systems points out its latest radar detection product has been developed to serve integrators as a cost-effective solution that provides 150 meters (492 feet) of coverage, including up to 30° of elevation coverage and 120° of azimuth coverage.

Magos Systems explains the small footprint radar detection device employs the C-band frequency, and it consumes less power than other radar detection solutions.

Some of the other features the SR-150 radar detection products offers is a combination of range resolution (less than 1 meter) and an angle resolution lower than 0.7° that allows for a high level of threat detection in a range of challenging environments.

The company emphasizes the unit combines its Magos MASS solution with AI to reduce nuisance and false alarms to nearly zero. It also delivers video-based object classification, including people, vehicles and boats, with the ability to accurately filter out false alerts on wildlife and fauna without compromising threat detection capabilities.

Magos Systems states the product also employs MIMO technologies to transmit and receive data at high rates of speed, and its digital beam forming technology helps to pinpoint the accuracy of the radar detection technology by steering the radar sensors to the area that requires coverage.

Magos Systems adds the SR-150 can be used for a variety of applications, including substations, car lots, data centers and critical infrastructure.
