NFPA to Hold Fire Suppression and Detection Symposium
ORLANDO, Fla.
The National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) Fire Protection Research Foundation is scheduled to hold its ninth annual Fire Suppression & Detection Research Application Symposium on January 26-28, 2005 at the Holiday Inn Select Orlando Airport.
Entitled “Responding to New Century Challenges,” the symposium will feature more than 25 papers on the latest research in fire suppression and detections, and will conclude with a panel discussion on the future of fire alarms, detection and suppression systems research.
April Berkol, director of environmental health, fire and life safety for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., will be the keynote speaker. Her talk will focus on challengers for fire protection systems in the global lodging industry.
