Dave Simon, the senior manager of industry and public relations for Brink’s Home Security, has been named chairman of the Security Industry Alarm Coalition’s (SIAC) Public Relations Committee. SIAC is a central resource for the alarm industry, law enforcement and government agencies on alarm management issues.
Elizabeth Levine, director of Knowledge Services for GE’s Security Enterprise Solutions, has been named the Security Industry Association’s (SIA) Volunteer of the Year.
Levine was commended for promoting the SIA’s Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) training and certification program for security integrators.
The Security Industry Association (SIA) has chosen Rand C. Price to be its new associate executive director.
Price, who has worked for four association multi-management companies, has served as executive director of more than 15 associations.
Shareholders with the PSA Security Network have elected Gary Venable to serve as new board chairman.
In addition to Venable, CEO of Kansas City’s All Systems Designed Solutions Inc., other elected members of the board include Vice-chairman Jim Taylor; Jeff Marcus, past chairman; John Colley, northeastern regional director; Mark Olive, midwestern regional director; Mike Kobelin, western regional director; and Mike Richmond, southern regional director.
