Sonitrol Shows Support for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Sonitrol has donated K-9s, training weapons and assists in lunch and education classes across the country in support of LE.A.D.

INDIANAPOLIS — Sonitrol, a leading provider of verified electronic security with approximately 83 franchises and 43 branches, participated in activities in support of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.).

The program, founded by Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), calls on United States citizens each January 9 to action in support of law enforcement. Several Sonitrol franchises went out to their local police departments dropping off gifts, lunches and baked goods for officers to show appreciation for their commitment and sacrifice to help keep their communities safe.

Sonitrol and law enforcement have been supporting each other for more than 55 years, according to the company. With more than 178,000 criminal apprehensions since 1977, law enforcement relies on the Sonitrol Verified Electronic Security businesses to help them get criminals off the streets, the company states.

To show its appreciation of law enforcement, Sonitrol has donated K-9’s, training weapons and assists in lunch and education classes across the country.

“At Sonitrol we pride ourselves not only providing good security solutions for our businesses and customers around our communities, but also helping to ensure the safety of law enforcement when they’re responding to our verified alarms,” says Julie Beach, vice president of Sonitrol.

Major L.E.A.D. highlights from this year included “reverse pullovers” where employees from Sonitrol rode in a squad car and pulled over officers on patrol to thank them and hand off gifts, along with several locations hosting lunches for officers on location or at police departments.

Sonitrol is a unit of Stanley Black & Decker’s security division.
