Napco Security Technologies’ line of StarLink Commercial Fire Alarm Communicators offers dealers a solution to commercial fire applications. The sole and dual path communicators operate on very low standby current at 24V, allowing a dealer to power the radio during the installation process. The dealer can connect the power and ground, two wires to the panel tip and ring, one wire back to a supervisory zone on the fire alarm panel and be done. According to the manufacturer, in many cases the installation can be completed in as little as 15 minutes. The higher end communicators operate off a direct connect to 120V and are also available in sole and dual path (cellular and IP) versions.
