TMA OPS-TECH 2020 Keynote Focus: Future of Networking and WiFi 6

Scott Stanton, senior director, Americas, network transformation, Cisco, will speak to the impact on how these technologies enable IoT devices and more.

McLEAN, Va. — The Monitoring Association (TMA) announces that Scott Stanton, senior director, Americas, network transformation, Cisco, will deliver a keynote address at its OPS-TECH 2020.

Stanton’s remarks will speak to the future of networking and WiFi 6 and the impact on how these technologies enable IoT devices and fills in the gaps of LTE and 5G buildouts. The keynote address will be delivered virtually Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. (EST).

The new OPS-TECH event combines two of TMA’s most popular annual education and networking events — the Fall Operations Management Seminar and the Tech Summit. TMA says the reimagined meeting structure and virtual format aims to open up new opportunities for additional attendees to actively take part in these programs.

By focusing on three main areas of interest, TMA will offer education that will appeal to operations, video surveillance and installation professionals, and IT managers who want to take their companies to the next level. This solutions-based event will offer attendees the opportunity to come with a problem and leave with a solution, according to the association.

The program will be presented in three sections over the course of several days:

  • Focus on Operations: Nov. 9-11
  • Special Bonus – Focus on Video: Nov. 12 (included in the Operations package or stand-alone)
  • Focus on Technology: Nov. 17-18

Among the featured sessions, Morgan Hertel of Rapid Response Monitoring Services and Dan Turner of Per Mar Security Services will present a “State of the Industry” discussion about how the professional monitoring industry responded to COVID-19 and ideas about the industry can address the continuing challenges through innovative technology solutions.

Platform Orientation Sessions

TMA will host online sessions to orient attendees to the features and functionalities of the program platforms. Attendees will experience first-hand tours of the platforms, which will enable maximum benefit of all the programs offered — education and network-building.

The first orientation will be held Nov. 5. The session will begin at 2:30 p.m. (EST). More dates be added as needed. For complete details and registration options, go here.
