2004 ASIS Special Report: Educational Sessions Advance Attendees’ Knowledge and Insight
DALLAS — When he entered a session room with few empty seats, IT and physical security consultant Ray Bernard apologized for his tardiness, but it wasn’t because he arrived a few minutes after his seminar at the ASIS Int’l Seminar & Exhibits was supposed to begin.
“We’re late. We really should have been discussing this subject three years ago,” said the principal consultant for Ray Bernard Consulting Services. Bernard’s session on the timely topic of physical and IT security integration was one of more than 135 educational sessions offered at the expo that continued even after the show floor had closed its doors.
Among the other sessions was one led by SSI contributor Charlie Pierce focusing on digital video motion detection.
