CES Launches to Provide Security Integration Services to Mid-Atlantic Region

Newly created Communications Electronics Systems will provide full-service security integration services to commercial and government end customers.

JESSUP, Md. — A new systems integrator has entered the Mid-Atlantic marketplace with the launch of Communications Electronics Systems (CES), based here.

CES is a subsidiary of Communications Electronics, a provider of mission critical wireless communications established in 1976. CES will provide electronic security integration services to commercial businesses and government customers throughout the region, according to an announcement.

The integrator’s portfolio will encompass access control, ID credentialing, visitor management, video surveillance and recording, Security as a Service (SaaS), mass notification, intrusion detection and remote management and Cloud solutions.

The company’s leadership has a diverse mix of experience and industry knowledge, according to the announcement. The team includes:

Roger Cassell, CEO — Cassell currently serves as president and CEO of parent company Communications Electronics. He is a member of the Motorola Service Advisory Committee and Board member of the eastern division of Motorola Service Shops Association. Cassell serves on the Board of The Independent Can Company & Baltimore County Police Foundation. He is a Director of Farmers & Merchants Bank and managing member of the Cassell Group.

Cassell is co-owner of several local businesses and is active within the community. He is the co-founder of Nothings Wasted, a non-profit that supports digging wells in India and is active in numerous charitable causes.

Tom Steg, President — Steg has more than 45 years of security industry experience running DEI, a security integration company from 1980 to 2000, along with many technical positions within the organization and industry. Recently, Steg has been involved in key account relationship management and security consulting.

Jeffrey Stroh, Vice President of Sales — Stroh has 30 years of industry experience starting as a service technician in 1988. Since that time he has held the position of project manager for Verizon Communications. In 1999 he returned to the security integration business as a regional sales manager and has held the position of account manager, senior sales manager and national account manager. Most recently Stroh was a national account manager for the integrated systems division of Protection 1.

Kristian Gragg, Vice President — Gragg started in the security industry in 2001 as a security system sales representative, was a managing partner in a security manufacturer’s rep firm and regional sales manager for a major security manufacturer.
