FeverWarn Temperature Scanning Solution Gains Cloud Capability
FeverWarn is an IoT-based system that measures temperatures of individuals through their fist. The data is then captured and can be integrated into a third-party IT system.
BALTIMORE — MachineSense announces the launch of a private Cloud device for its thermal scanning and temperature scanning system, FeverWarn.
FeverWarn, an IoT-based system, is said to measure temperatures of individuals through their fist in one second or less. Users place their fists under the scanner, and by detecting infrared radiation energy and wavelength distribution, they will get either a red or green light. The data is then captured and can be integrated into any third-party IT system.
Developed in response to customer feedback, the Master Data Hub is a device that serves as a local computing Cloud, according to the company.
The device features an API that performs machine learning, aggregates, displays, routes and transmits data based on the architecture selected.
“Many of our larger customers find it difficult to get past their IT policy of not connecting to external Cloud like AWS or Microsoft Azure. This mini Cloud or master hub-based architecture will allow them to benefit from FeverWarn’s Cloud features without bothering for IT policy waivers ,” says Conrad Bessemer, co-founder and chairman of MachineSense. “This architecture is less expensive as well since it eliminates Cloud subscription costs. Overall, it will make life easier for FeverWarn’s enterprise customers, especially hospitals and schools.”
The Master Data Hub provides:
- Username registration
- Passwords and password recovery
- FeverWarn and Master DataHub configuration information
- Machine learning
- Alerts by text and email
- Data gggregation
- Analysis and reporting capabilities
- Storage
- Routing for API commands
“Larger customers of FeverWarn such as hospitals face the challenge of managing a network of multiple FeverWarns in one facility. The Master Hub allows such customers to manage these multiple units from a single, dedicated, private Cloud that has several advantages,” says Dr. Biplab Pal, co-founder and CTO of MachineSense.
VP of Software Engineering at MachineSense Dr. John Horn adds, “The user also gets a webpage-like interface on mobile and desktop devices that makes it easier to read and interpret results throughout the facility.”
