Olathe, Kan., City Council Beefs Up False Alarm Penalties
OLATHE, Kan.—The current fines for false alarms in Olathe will be increased from $25 to $50 for four to six false alarms for residential systems. For business security systems, the fine will increase from $50 to $100. For 13 or more false alarms, residents can expect to pay $250 instead of $25, and businesses will pay $250 instead of $100.
