OnSSI Partners With Vaxtor for License Plate Recognition Integration

The integration enables Vaxtor’s advanced LPR analytics to be deployed across OnSSI’s Ocularis VMS platform.

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. — OnSSI announces a new integration partnership with license plate recognition (LPR) software company, Vaxtor Corp.

The integration enables Vaxtor’s advanced LPR analytics to be deployed across OnSSI’s Ocularis VMS platform.

With these integrated analytics Ocularis can recognize, capture and archive data on license plates, railway vehicles, USDOT numbers, shipping containers and more, according to the company.

“Partnering with Vaxtor allows Ocularis to deliver a wide range of security and operations data to meet the specific challenges of the transportation and law enforcement markets,” says Ken LaMarca, vice president of sales and marketing, OnSSI. “New and evolving partnerships with leading technology providers will continue to deliver industry professionals with best-in-class security capabilities, as well as new sources of business intelligence they can use to further improve operations.”

Vaxtor Corp. specializes in the development of software-driven solutions such as LPR and optical character recognition (OCR) for integration with security and other detection and monitoring systems. Vaxtor creates solutions that are dynamic, reliable and scalable for a number of industries across myriad corporate and urban environments, according to the company.

“The integration of our LPR and OCR analytics provides highly functional and reliable data capture capabilities,” says Michael Deutsch, executive management consultant, Vaxtor Corp. “End users can now capitalize on the valuable rich data contained in printed text and numbers, with the confidence that the information is both highly accurate and instantly accessible.”

Vaxtor LPR solutions include the accurate capture of OCR, MMR (year, make and model of vehicles), USDOT, railway, container, red light and wrong turn detection integrations, which are supported in over 200 countries. The analytics are said to be able to accurately recognize letters, numbers and symbols both vertically and horizontally.

Ocularis is available in three models: Professional, designed for organizations operating multiple locations with small to mid-sized camera counts; Enterprise, built for a wide range of mid to large IT-centric organizations; and Ultimate, created for large organizations with extended command and control needs and recording server failover.
