Platinum Tools at ISC West 2021: Cable and Network Testing Solutions, Giveaways
Platinum Tools will be showcasing the new NetXpert XG2 certification tester, pocket-sized PoE++ tester and more.
ISC West 2021 will be held July 19-21 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas. Ahead of this year’s show, SSI heard from Platinum Tools National Accounts Manager Jason Chesla about what the company will be showcasing at ISC West, its value proposition and more.
What is the top product or offering your company is showing off at ISCW this year, and what makes it unique or special?
We are proud to announce the launch of the new NetXpert XG2, providing 10G speed certification over copper and fiber, and complete network testing over copper, fiber, and WiFi systems. The NetXpert XG2 sets a new standard in versatility and value for cable and network testing. With Cat6A rapidly gaining dominance, a tester capable of certifying networks to 10G speeds has become more of a necessity. With the NetXpert XG2, we have a single device that performs 10G speed certification, as well as all the network tests you need on copper, fiber, and WiFi systems, even PoE testing up to the PoE type 4 standard. This eliminates the need to buy or carry multiple testers for various jobs.”
What other products or offerings would you like to highlight, and what are some of their unique qualities?
Earlier this year Platinum Tools launched its new pocket-sized PoE++ tester, the TPS200C. The easy-to-use TPS200C has been designed for all varieties of PoE … up to 56 volts and 280 watts of power. Powered by the PoE circuit, the TPS200C requires no batteries and can be used inline with an actual PoE device to measure current flow, or by itself in Powered Device (PD) Simulation mode to determine the maximum power available from the PoE power source.
What else is new or noteworthy about the company for 2021?
Platinum Tools is at a great point in the company’s history because we are launching so many new products each year. These new products are innovative and meet our customers needs in PoE and 10Gig demands.
What is your company’s overall value proposition to installing security dealers/integrators? Why should they do business with you?
Platinum Tools currently has a large portfolio of products that are perfect for these markets and are continually developing and launching products for the cable installers and integrators in these markets.
What do you see as some of the top opportunities in the marketplace right now?
We see so many great opportunities in the area of PoE. PoE advancements are very exciting and Platinum Tools is your source for PoE compliant products.
