Potter, Layered Solutions Partner for Mass Notification Integration
The partnership will expand the capabilities of Potter’s IP-enabled fire alarm systems
Potter has partnered with Layered Solutions for a new integration.
ST. LOUIS — Potter Electric Signal Co. announces a new integration partnership with Layered Solutions of Carmel, Ind., an industry leader in the development of mass notification and communications software solutions.
The partnership with Layered Solutions will expand the capabilities of Potter’s IP-enabled fire alarm systems, according to the company.
“We at Potter are very excited to provide an integration path to the Layered Solutions software platform,” says Craig Summers, vice president of North American Sales at Potter Electric Signal. “With the Layered Solutions technology, Potter dealers will be able to better differentiate themselves from their competition by providing cost effective enhancements that add significant value to a fire alarm installation for schools, campuses, health care, industrial, and other facilities.”
Layered Solutions will utilize a LAN/WAN connection with the Potter fire alarm panel, enabling its software to add the ability to display interactive maps, conduct text to speech announcements, integrate video cameras, digital signage, mobile devices and more.
“Integrating our software solution and pre-programmed messaging into Potter’s IP-enabled fire alarm systems provides end users with communications imperative to the safety and well being of employees, customers, patients or students,” says Jerry Geis, president and founder of Layered Solutions. “The fact that this messaging can be controlled from a PC or even through a mobile app makes it a valuable asset to these organizations.”
