Security 101 Opens Franchise Offices in Sacramento and San Antonio

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Security 101, a systems integration franchise, recently opened new offices in Sacramento and San Antonio.
The Sacramento franchise marks the third office in the Golden State, joining locations in San Diego and Los Angeles. The new office will serve the Sacramento Valley region. The franchise owner for Sacramento is Kalib Smith, an experienced entrepreneur with a proven track record in business ownership and management, according to an announcement.
Smith acquired and revitalized two retail businesses and helped another to grow significantly through skilled leadership and strategic initiatives.
“I come from a family of entrepreneurs and I am passionate about having a new opportunity to bring my business skills to the security industry,” Smith says. “Security 101 has a great team and an excellent business model that will help us serve our midmarket, enterprise and public sector customers in Sacramento.”
Smith is a native Californian and graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science focused in management with a specialization in entrepreneurship.
Security 101 looks for franchise owners with entrepreneurial skills and enthusiasm, according to Security 101 CEO Steve Crespo. “Kalib acquired a business right out of college and he is the type of person who has the motivation needed to run a successful business,” he says. “And the Security 101 corporate team will be there to back him up with the industry and technology know-how he needs.”
Jeff Ye is the owner and general manager of the new San Antonio office. Over the past decade, he has held various positions in several industries beginning in B2B sales for oil and gas technology, and most recently as the director of sales for a T-Mobile partner company, leading a market team of 700 people.
“I’m really excited to bring my B2B background into such a dynamic and fast-paced city,” says Ye. “The support and encouragement we have gotten so far from the Security 101 corporate team and the other franchise owners has been terrific.”
Ye holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Rice University. The San Antonio market is an ideal location for a security integration firm, Crespo says.
“It is one of the fastest growing top 10 metropolitan areas in the country,” he comments. “That, combined with Jeff’s enthusiasm and background, makes a winning combination.”
Security 101, with corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, Fla., has offices in more than 45 U.S. cities. Franchisees protect business assets and employees, working locally to engineer, install, operate, monitor, manage and maintain integrated security solutions.
