Smart Card Industry, Government Leaders Form Council

PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J. — Representatives from the smart card industry and government leaders are forming a group that will help speed smart card adoption in the access control market.

The Smart Card Alliance is spearheading the formation of the Physical Access Council, which will be managed by a combined government/industry steering committee. Member companies include AMAG Technology, Northrop Grumman Corp., Philips, as well as representatives from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
