Security Integrator Tech Systems Attains ISO 27001 Certification

BUFORD Ga. — Tech Systems, based here, has achieved ISO 27001 certification, an international standard that describes the best practices for an information security management system (ISMS).
The process to achieve certification involved a rigorous audit entailing thorough interviews with Tech Systems’ administration, security operations center (SOC), quality assurance, human resources and finance, as well as investigation of risk management, physical security, access controls and security best practices.
Tech Systems’ ISMS successfully met all logical, process, physical and management controls to achieve compliance with the standard, according to an announcement. The ISO 27001 certification underscores the company’s strong commitment to the ongoing development of ISMS.
“To our knowledge, Tech Systems is the only security integrator with the ISO 27001 designation. This certification uniquely positions us in the marketplace with respect to the rapidly changing security integration technologies, and how we manage our client’s technology and information throughout the entire value chain,” says Tech Systems President Wayne Smith.
In 2008, the systems integrator achieved its ISO 9001 certification, a standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
