Hundreds of regular and associate members of the New Jersey Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NJBFAA) headed out to Atlantic City to attend the first industry event of the year, the association’s 11th annual convention and trade show Jan. 5-6 at the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort.
The two-day event was comprised of training classes, business seminars, membership meetings, an awards reception and trade show. A new slate of officers and directors were elected and sworn in for 2001 at the association’s annual membership meeting, and more than 50 exhibitors were present at the trade show.
Some of the winners at the awards reception included ADT Security Services, which won the Outstanding Alarm Dealer Award, and Jeffrey Atkins of Rapid Response Monitoring, who won the Outstanding Associate Member Award. William Oppenheim of ADI and Charles Okun of NJBFAA both took home the association’s Service Recognition Award.
