More than 3,000 identification and security professionals
will gather next week at the CardTech/SecurTech (CTST)
Conference and Exhibition in Washington, D.C. The 14th
annual event, running April 26-29, is the largest smart
card, biometric and security technology trade show in the
United States.
More than 200 leading companies, including HID Corp. of
Irvine, Calif., will exhibit and demonstrate the latest
technology in the security industry.
In particular, HID will showcase access control, IT
security, cashless vending, biometric verification, time
and attendance, ID card printing, parking and vandal
proofing technology.
More than 125 panels, presentations and workshops exploring
security and identification issues will be offered during
the show.
The conference’s featured speakers include Charles McQueary
of the Department of Homeland Security; John Deutch, former
CIA director; Glen Salow of American Express; and Steven
Brill, creator of Court TV and founder of HREF=/t_ci_newsView.cfm?nid=1285>Verified Identity Card
