Published: August 31, 2006

Honeywell of Louisville, Ky., releases the Rapid Eye multi-media DSP system, a 16-channel DVR that can simultaneously record, search and transmit live and recorded video, audio, and data. This new unit is designed for applications where centralized video management is required. The unit integrates with existing systems to perform video verification, access control and more.

The system consists of a new video recorder unit – a workstation, server-based administration tool called ADMIN – and a workstation-based software program called VIEW. Honeywell says that ADMIN offers enterprise-wide site and user management, while VIEW provides complete remote management capability.
