Two members of the security industry were honored at The
Second Annual Tri-Association Awards Dinner on Aug. 24,
sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA)
, the National Fire & Burglar Association (NBFAA)
, and the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA)
. Marc Mineau with Brivo Systems was
presented the Triton Award for industry statesmanship,
while David Avritt of SentryNet received
SIA’s George R. Lippert Memorial Award for dedicating 20
plus years to SIA.
Mineau is a past SIA president and a member of CSAA and
NBFAA. He is known for his efforts in dealer education.
Avritt has played a significant role in the establishment
of SIA’s Monitoring Industry Group. Avritt is credited in
part for the creation and implementation of the current
Central Station Monitoring Course, now celebrating its 10th
anniversary.
