Dedicated Micros Debuts Continuous Archiving DVR
CCTV manufacturer Dedicated Micros introduced its new BX2 CA DVMR digital video product at ASIS. The digital video recorder has built-in RAID1 mirroring storage allowing for continuous archiving.
“This new feature effectively creates an identical copy of all recorded data within the system,” said Dedicated Micros’ Vice President of Marketing Don Taylor. “If one disk fails or is removed, the other continues recording.”
Panasonic Promotes Digital Movement with DigitalOne
Panasonic Security Systems continued to bolster its DigitalOne initiative to help dealers and end users migrate to digital security by being one of the more aggressive pushers of new products at ASIS 2004.
Included among the new products introduced by Panasonic included enhancements to the WJ-HD300 DVR series, the new WJ-HD220 series of DVRs and a new line of LCD displays.
Datacard Unites With Intel
In a move designed to bolster the integration between IT and physical security, the Datacard Group, an access control developer, announced at ASIS that it had entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with computer firm Intel Corp. to develop integrated physical security solutions for large companies and government entities.
The two companies plan to work toward an integrated solution that will unite a variety of security control systems on one platform.
