2004 ASIS Special Report: HID Helps Attendees Hunt for Smart Card Treasures

Published: October 31, 2004

DALLAS — With integration and smart cards already the subject of many discussions on the ASIS show floor, Booth 3151, the base of operations for HID Corp., proved to be a popular destination for attendees at the exhibition.

The contactless access control card manufacturer held demonstrations of its latest iClass smart cards while also having a presence in the booths of several development partners around the convention center.

With its vast array of partners, HID held a kind of scavenger hunt at the show — giving out “iClass World Tour” cards at its booth and telling attendees they could get a free T-shirt if they presented it at another showing an HID partner logo.
