Specialty Category: SunBrite Signature 2 Series 4K Ultra HDR Outdoor Monitor/TV By SnapAV/SunBrite

A commercial security and AV integrator had a multi-state restaurant and bar chain that needed surveillance displays, bar/patio entertainment options and digital signage. They were seeking a display monitor/television solution that could handle a myriad of needs and challenges. The restaurant and bar locations were in a variety of climates that varied in temperature and weather conditions. Different locations also had different control systems for integration or, in some instances, none at all.

The client required UL listings on outdoor displays for code and safety requirements, and they needed media delivered in a variety of formats, such as over a CAT 5/6 cable (HDBaseT) or HDMI/ HDCP 2.2. They also needed 4K and had concerns around serviceability in remote locations. Plus, some locations needed a lift for the placement of a monitor, as they didn’t want employees climbing up to make changes or power cycle. Appearance and design were important to the clients as well, and they did not want a large, bulky enclosure around their televisions.

SunBrite’s Signature Series from SnapAV met all of the client’s needs and was selected for installation at all 30 locations with multiple monitors/displays per site. The SunBrite Signature Series come in multiple sizes (43″, 55″, 65″), and supports drivers for multiple controls systems like Crestron, Control4, and more. It is also equipped with RS232 Serial Control with discreet on/off and input control. A rear IR receiver located in the cable compartment keeps the IR emitter hidden and protected, and the monitor can be used as a television, a display for surveillance, or digital signage.

The SunBrite Signature 2 Series features a sleek, thin profile that mounts easily without being obtrusive. The display includes an integrated HDBaseT receiver, so there’s support for HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 without the need for converters. This convenient addition allows ultra-high-definition video, audio, and control to transmit over a single, long-distance category cable. SunBrite is UL-Listed for outdoor use and operates from -24F to +122F in all weather conditions and is 4K Ultra HD with 700 Nits of brightness.

The number one feature which ultimately allowed the integrator to win the job, according to the company, was its native integration with OvrC, the free Cloud-based remote management system from SnapAV. This platform allows a dealer to power cycle, update firmware for future upgrades without running a truck, remotely check the model/serial number for tech support and create commands to turn on/off all TVs at one time (and on a schedule). OvrC can save thousands of dollars in service calls and truck rolls, lift rentals, and potential accidents from an end-user’s staff.
