Long-range wireless Ethernet specialist AvaLAN Wireless is partnering with SunWize Technologies, a manufacturer of solar power systems, and MOBOTIX, a manufacturer of IP-based digital video surveillance cameras, to deliver a complete wireless surveillance solution that can be deployed in remote areas.

According to the three companies, they will be able to offer the market custom-built solutions configured to meet each client’s power needs. The system includes a wireless Ethernet system from AvaLAN Wireless, a solar power source from SunWize Technologies, built according to the system’s power requirements, and an IP-based surveillance camera from MOBOTIX.

“This partnership between AvaLAN Wireless, SunWize and MOBOTIX is revolutionary since it provides the security market with an all-in-one wireless IP-security solution with a built-in solar power supply,” says Ray Shilling, vice president of sales and marketing for AvaLAN Wireless. “Since our radios only consume 1 watt of power; and the MOBOTIX cameras only 3.5 watts, this results in the smallest solar panel requirement in the industry – thereby saving the customer money.”

To determine load requirement for systems, customers can visit AvaLAN Wireless’ or SunWize’s specifier section of the Web site to provide daily equipment load, voltage requirements and design the ideal system for the geographic location of the system.
