3M announces that it has formed a strategic alliance to combine its range of customized security solutions with Kroll Associates’ worldwide experience in business controls consulting and investigations. The companies will team to provide product authentication, counterfeit product investigations, security audits, supply chain security assessment, manufacturing site security assessments and ongoing subcontractor monitoring. “Our consulting and investigative services are ideally situated to back up 3M’s label solutions,” says Richard Rosetti, head of Kroll’s Product Protection Group. “We are trained in 3M technologies and solutions, which saves time and money for companies that need investigative services with authentication systems in place.”
3M security labels use retroreflective, holographic and other security technologies to help retailers accurately verify product authenticity, detect tampering or transference of genuine labels, protect brand names and reduce financial losses.
