3VR Gets $10 Million Boost

SAN FRANCISCO

CCTV software-maker 3VR Security Inc. has received a $10 million cash infusion from a group of investors. 3VR manufactures an intelligent video management system designed to make searchable unstructured feeds from security camera systems.

Leading the investment are technology capitol investment firms Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers (KPCB) and VantagePoint Venture Partners. Also providing funding is private venture firm In-Q-Tel, which receives some funding from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

3VR says it will use the cash infusion to further develop its video management technology.
