Select Security has added more than 2,000 accounts with the completion of four acquisitions in the Pocono Mountains region of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Select Security will monitor the new accounts from its Lancaster, Pa.-based central monitoring station.

The acquisitions include Keiper Lock & Alarm of Pocono Pines, Pa.; Supreme Alarm Systems of Pocono Pines, Pa.; D&M Lock and Alarm of Pocono Lake, Pa.; Kreckman Security Systems of Pocono Lake, Pa.; and A-Right Security of Stroudsburg, Pa.

Greg Liddy, owner of A-Right Security, will remain with Select Security and serve as an account representative. Select Security also purchased Poconos-based accounts from Alarm Telecommunications Center Inc., a Wheatland, Pa., wholesale monitoring company.

“Select Security will be starting out 2010 in the same manner we are finishing 2009, by closing several targeted applications,” says Patrick Egan, president of Select Security. “We are delighted to have closed this facility in light of the current credit crunch affecting businesses nationwide.”

The company will also be opening a regional office in Tannersville, Pa., in January. The facility will include contract administration, customer care and a retail locksmith department. By mid-2010, Select Security expects to add at least 10 new employees, Egan says.
