CLEVELAND — ABCO Fire Protection, based here, has acquired all assets of Trico Security, a commercial security integrator located in Broadview Heights, Ohio. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1968, Trico Security services northeast Ohio, specializing in access control and IP video systems for national and international corporations. The integrator is a good fit for ABCO’s focus on larger, multisite companies that want quality installation and outstanding service, says ABCO President Steve DeJohn.

Peter Wood, president of Trico Security, will join ABCO to assure his customers are serviced properly and to assist in bringing on new subscribers.

“This is a great match,” Wood says. “ABCO has the funds that will help bring Trico to its next levels. The people I’ve met at ABCO have been great to work with. This is truly a win-win situation.”
