Ademco Group announces the formation of OmniTek—a new reader unit within the business dedicated to manufacturing leading-edge products. “Ademco’s innovative leadership role in the electronic security industry is further advanced by manufacturing an Ademco reader line to satisfy our customers’ requirements,” says Mike Davis, managing director of OmniTek. “Our ability to listen to our customers and understand their needs coupled with Ademco’s engineering and manufacturing resources is what will catapult OmniTek in the industry.”
The first product line from OmniTek will be the OmniProx(tm) Series of proximity card readers. According to Ademco, OmniProx readers combine unique functionality, high-quality engineering and the first products to be specifically designed for OEM applications in the electronic access control market. Ademco Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of electronic security products for more than 70 years, is part of Honeywell’s Home & Building Control business unit.
