Adesta Cited for 7th Outstanding Safety Performance Prize

Adesta, LLC, a systems integrator and project management company for communication networks and electronic security systems, has received a 7th consecutive prize for outstanding occupational safety from the Greater Omaha Chapter of the National Safety Council.

During the chapter’s annual awards luncheon, held May 13, Adesta was cited for its achievements in work-related safety and health program results as part of the recent Safety and Health Summit and Tradeshow at the Qwest Center in Omaha.

The Occupational Safety and Health Awards Recognition Program was established by the National Safety Council in 1984 to encourage and recognize excellence in accident prevention and loss control programs. To be considered for an award, a company must have an incident rate and lost work day case rate the same or better than the latest available industry average for their Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) as recorded by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Estimates of Occupational Injury and Illness Incidence Rates. All companies considered for recognition must have a written injury/illness prevention plan.

“Safety is a key element to the success of any project. It is our number one priority at Adesta,” says Bob Sommerfeld, president of Adesta. “We are very stringent when it comes to our safety beliefs, and this acknowledgement is a testament to that.”

Adesta has received the National Safety Council’s Award of Honor with Distinction from 2006-2009, the Gold Award of Honor in 2005, Silver Award of Honor in 2004, and Bronze Award of Honor in 2003.
