Adesta to Provide Video Solution for Texas Sheriff’s Department

Published: August 14, 2007

Systems integrator Adesta LLC has been awarded a $958,000 contract to install a wireless video surveillance network for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department in Texas.

Expected to be completed in early 2008, the fully integrated system will be installed along the Sabine and Neches Rivers to monitor activity between Beaumont and Port Arthur, Texas.

The cameras will be deployed at remote locations, with video management handled by the United States Coast Guard Vessel Tracking Station and the sheriff’s department.

“It is extremely important for Jefferson County to be able to heighten the video surveillance along the rivers in order to further protect the property owners and citizens of their community,” says Bob Sommerfeld, president of Adesta. “We are excited to be working with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and look forward to bringing this project to completion.”
