ADI has partnered with Regin, a manufacturer of smoke-emitter products, in response to the testing mandates placed on fire alarm dealers by fire marshal and other authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs). Regin’s products are available immediately to provide key information on ventilation systems for outside make-up air, air-filter efficiency and the overall indoor-air environments in a number of settings.
Of note from Regin is the Smoke Pen, which releases an ideal amount of test smoke when and where it is needed. The device works like a mechanical pen and has an adjustable smoke-emitting wick, which can be put out by replacing the cap. Users can perform leak testing of ductwork, pipelines, heat exchanges and tanks.
