Low-voltage product distributor ADI has announced collaborations with two companies that will give ADI customers new options for networking equipment and fog-based security systems. ADI announced it will carry Coaxsys Inc.‘s Ethernet-over-coax networking equipment, as well as the fog security products from Bandit Solutions.
Coaxsys offers its product as a structured wiring alternative and allows installers to use any coaxial cable jack in a residence for Ethernet networking. The product works without disrupting cable television service and could give homes a high-speed network without the time-consuming and expensive process of creating an IP network.
Bandit Solutions’ flagship product is the Bandit 240 PB, which deploys a dense fog at 1,000 cubic feet per second that blocks an intruder’s vision.
