ADI is implementing a vendor strategy for its structured cabling offering. The company—a division of Honeywell’s Home & Building Control business unit—has rounded out its product lines to address a larger segment of the commercial and residential marketplace.

“In the past, ADI had promoted multiple vendors and solutions, but without the national focus needed to garner the day-to-day support of some of the leading manufacturers,” states Bill Lane, ADI vice president of structured cabling. “Our goal is to become a major supplier with a defined set of vendors.”

ADI will now have a strategic focus in the structured cabling market, leveraging strengths in value-added services throughout its 120-plus branches. According to the company, its manufacturers will now have access to a segment of the structured cabling and low-voltage market they are not typically able to get to through other distributors.

ADI is North America’s largest wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products.
