ADI PARTNERS WITH NEC TO OFFER PHONE/WEB DEVICE
MELVILLE, N.Y.
ADI, North America’s largest wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products, will team up with NEC America Inc. to distribute NEC’s InfoSet 408 key telephone system. The communication system allows parents and children to make multiple simultaneous connections to the phone and Internet. It also provides high-speed DSL Internet connectivity with full firewall protection. In addition, the system delivers a business telephone system and communication server for the growing number of telecommuters and small business operations.
“As part of ADI’s ongoing initiative to provide the low-voltage installer with comprehensive, user-friendly solutions, the InfoSet 408 system was an excellent fit,” says Marc Mandelbaum, ADI product manager for sound and communication products. “It is a robust, yet straightforward solution that allows homeowners and small business owners to design a relatively sophisticated communication system. NEC will increase ADI’s value proposition, especially in new home construction where a customer may want to leverage the installation of other ADI products with the installation of a NEC InfoSet 408 system.”
