ADI, global wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products, will offer a variety of educational opportunities in 2007 to help educate its customer base and sales force on the latest technologies.

The training initiative includes expo seminars, CEDIA home theater audio boot camps, CEDIA Level I review and exam courses, networking IP training classes, high-definition video training, manufacturer training and counter days, vendor rollouts, and interactive demonstrations. The training will range from entry-level, introductory to more advanced courses.

“Great technology is not complete without comprehensive training,” says Michael Masten, training manager at ADI. “ADI takes pride in providing dealers, installers and our own sales folks with the right educational opportunities to effectively deliver today’s complex products and offer complete solutions.”

At 39 ADI expos across North America, customers may participate in more than 150 training seminars that focus on the growth of IP, A/V, access control, commercial recurring monthly revenue and home controls. Many expos also offer specialized business development seminars that focus on research and implementation solutions for business owners, and installation and service technicians.

CEDIA courses include the home theater audio boot camp focusing on design and set-up, and Level I certification. ADI offers IP training courses specializing in networks for security applications. The high-definition video training series kicks off this month, touring 20 cities nationwide to educate installers in video calibration.

At local ADI branches throughout the year, manufacturers will host product rollouts and campaigns, counter days, tabletop exhibits and new product demonstrations. Each week, customers will have numerous product, vendor and industry educational opportunities available to them at local branches.
