ADI Teams With Slayton Solutions and NBFAA to Offer Network Training

MELVILLE, N.Y.

Wholesale distributor ADI announces a partnership with the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) and Slayton Solutions Ltd. to bring in-depth network training to low-voltage technicians at the local level.

ADI will provide a one-day interactive course sponsored by NBFAA that covers the basics of networking, IP addressing, firewall issues and cabling options. Also included will be information on the connection of networked security devices with local area networks (LANs) and the Internet.

The courses, developed by Slayton Solutions Ltd., a provider of online and instructor-led training in fiber optics and networking of security equipment, will also offer continuing education credits.

In addition to Networking 101 for Technicians, Networking 101 for Sales Managers, Networking 102 for Security, the Security Networking Institute and the Fiber Optics Institute also will be offered. All classes will take place at Chicago-area ADI branches.

“ADI wants to continue to help our dealers by providing valuable educational resources on emerging technologies,” says Nick LaBella, director of product management with ADI. “It is our goal to offer our dealers the best educational opportunities possible and we strive to do so by offering a variety of courses, Web-based training and books such as the IP Surveillance Catalog.”
