ADI to Offer Solar Power Solutions

ADI, a wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products, announces it will carry solar power solutions from SunWize Technologies, a designer and manufacturer of solar energy systems and products, to help dealers provide power solutions for security applications.

The preassembled integrated systems are weather resistant and may be used in homes, parking lots, deserts, jails and other remote locations where wires cannot be trenched.

Designed to maximize efficiency, SunWize Power Systems do not require the expense of installing utility power and will reduce the amount of electricity consumers need to purchase from local utilities, according to ADI. The systems use photovoltaic (PV) technology to convert light from the sun into electricity.

SunWize Technologies is a subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. and operates manufacturing and distribution facilities in Kingston, N.Y., and Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
