ADS Security, an independent electronic security provider, has acquired SecurNet Protective Services Inc. of Norcross, Ga., near Atlatna. The acquisition will allow ADS to establish an office in a major metropolitan market for the first time.

The company currently has offices in five Southeastern states and serves more than 65,000 residential, commercial and institutional customers. The SecurNet acquisition adds more than 4,500 accounts to ADS Security’s total account base. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“The purchase of SecurNet Protective Services is an important step in our strategic plan to build ADS Security’s presence in the Southeastern region,” says Mel Mahler, CEO and chairman, ADS Security.

SecurNet Protective Services was established in 1998. The company provides design, installation and maintenance services.
