NASHVILLE, Tenn. – ADS Security, a regional electronic security and automation company based here, has acquired approximately 3,000 customer accounts from Central Carolina Security of Sanford, N.C. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ADS will retain the Sanford location, which marks the 20th branch for ADS across the Southeast.
“I could not be more excited to welcome [owner Nelson McDonald] and his team to ADS,” says John Cerasuolo, ADS president and CEO. “He has built a legacy of outstanding service and loyal customers and I am proud he chose ADS to help his team carry on that tradition.”
This is the second acquisition for ADS this year, following a deal for SAFECO and its 1,300 accounts in Tuscaloosa, Ala., in February. In 2015, ADS acquired security companies in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia, totaling approximately 6,500 accounts.
Central Carolina Security customers – a mix of 65% residential, 35% commercial – will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial security and automation services, including mobile management, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions.
The purchased accounts will continue to be serviced out of Central Carolina Security’s existing facility. The accounts will be monitored from ADS’s UL-listed, CSAA Five Diamond monitoring center located at its headquarters.
“We know that together with ADS we can offer an improved experience and wider range of services to our customers for a long time into the future,” McDonald s says.
