ADS Security Expands Southeast Footprint With American Burglar and Fire Alarms Buy

With the acquisition of American Burglar and Fire Alarms, ADS Security adds 2,700 new accounts in Columbia, S.C.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- ADS Security (ADS) has added 2,700 accounts to its South Carolina customer base after acquiring Columbia, S.C.-based American Burglar and Fire Alarms (AB&F).

The purchase comes shortly after the acquisition of two Alabama security companies in March, and is expected to help the company continue to expand across the Southeast.

“Growing our presence and establishing a full-service ADS branch in South Carolina is exciting for ADS,” company President and CEO John Cerasuolo says. “We have been slowly growing in Columbia and the purchase of AB&F, a security company with an excellent local presence, is a natural next step for us in this market.”

AB&F customers will now have access to ADS’ customer care team, advanced suite of security services including mobile management and home automation technologies, proprietary UL-listed, CSAA Five Diamond Monitoring Center, and My ADS online customer portal with simple account management and bill pay.

“I chose ADS Security because of their impeccable reputation within the security alarm industry,” said AB&F owner, Elton Johnson. “This is an exciting time for both AB&F and its Columbia customers, who we have been serving for over 20 years.”

Johnson and his team will be joining ADS and working out of the ADS Columbia office.
