CHICAGO — Though the new brand was first unveiled this past spring at ISC West, ADT used last week’s Global Security Exchange (GSX) to formally introduce its new dedicated commercial division.

Situated in one of the largest booths on the show floor, the company showed off its many capabilities. During the show, ADT Commercial also announced its new executive leadership team.

SSI spoke with Dan Bresingham, executive vice president, and Michael Kennedy, business development/central region, and also former president of Advanced Cabling Systems, which was acquired by ADT in January.

Bresignham gave an overview of ADT Commercial’s capabilities, as well as what to expect from the company moving forward.

“When I think of what ADT Commercial can offer as our value of services, we would argue it’s second to none in the industry. We can do everything from a traditional retail site where you just do basic burg, intrusion and access, all the way up to million dollar data centers where you’re putting in thousands of cameras. We can do high-end fire where we do skyscrapers where we put in Edwards systems and everywhere in between,” he explained.

Kennedy oversees the acquisition side. He says the company is looking to fill out its U.S. footprint on the fire side through acquisitions of companies with good culture.

“Part of what we’re looking for moving forward, are companies that fit our culture and are passionate about customer service, and dedicated to its customers and employees,” he said. “We want to grow the company organically, but we want to continue growing through mergers and acquisitions when its a good fit for both the company and ADT commercial.
