ADT Security Services, a unit of Tyco Fire and Security Services, announced its association with Internet Home Alliance, a nonprofit association “dedicated to enhancing consumer’s understanding, appreciation and adoption of the Internet Lifestyle.” Working in association with other members of the alliance, ADT wishes to encourage consumers to adopt Internet technology to enhance their daily lives, with the goal of bringing greater comfort, security and convenience to their customers. “The Alliance is pleased to add ADT Security Services to its roster of leading companies that have come together to drive the industry forward,” says Bill Kenney, president of Internet Home Alliance and vice president of emerging home solutions at Sears Roebuck and Co. “With its expertise in home security, ADT is vital to the development of comprehensive Internet Lifestyle solutions that deliver real value to consumers. We look forward to ADT’s active involvement in the Alliance and its contributions to accelerating adoption of the Internet Lifestyle.” ADT recently released a new product, the Safewatch iCenter, intended to be a smart security system, targeted at the Internet Home Alliance.
