ADT Security Services Inc. announces it has been awarded
the contract to provide a video intrusion detection and
reporting system to Boston’s Logan Int’l Airport and other
properties operated by the Massachusetts Port Authority
(Massport). The system will help monitor Massport’s
waterfront perimeter.
Massport’s contract calls for the installation of sensor
devices to detect perimeter movement, automated
surveillance software provided by VistaScape Security
Systems in Atlanta and a wireless network, as well as
continued maintenance of the system.
The detection devices will be integrated with VistaScape’s
SiteIQ software to automatically trigger a sound alarm when
security violations are detected. The automated software
lets Massport’s security personnel monitor video signals at
all times and allow for extended area coverage. The
wireless network will give security staff firewalled,
secure command and control capabilities.
