ADT hosted a press conference during ESX 2014 outlining its campaign to rid the electronic security industry of deceptive sales practices, particularly tactics often used by door-to-door alarm dealers.

ADT’s new program, which launched in May, will award up to $25,000 for proof that an alarm company has trained its sales team to be deceitful.

Security Sales & Integration Editor-in-Chief Scott Goldfine got a chance to catch up with David Bleisch, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for ADT, to discuss the company’s latest initiative.

In this podcast, Bleisch discusses alarm industry scams, more details on the bounty program and how others in the industry have responded to ADT’s campaign.
