Advanced Cabling Systems Excels at Creating ‘Culture of Success’

Advanced Cabling Systems, a 2018 Installer of the Year runner-up, produced 18% growth with a current subscriber base of 3,270 yielding $27.5 million revenues the previous year.

The motto at Advanced Cabling Systems is pretty simple, according to President Michael Kennedy: Take care of the employee and they will always take care of the client. “We err on the side of team members and try to create a culture of success,” he says.

That work ethic is clearly paying off for North Little Rock, Ark.-based security firm, which has six locations in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. In fact, Advanced was recently named one of the 36 “Best Places to Work in Arkansas,” based on responses it submitted for an extensive (85+ questions) survey.

“If we make a mistake we own up to it and do everything we can to make it right again,” says Kennedy of his 180-employee strong team. “Our sales team does not receive commission. We want them to be motivated to sell our services for no other reason than it is the best for the client.”

“From this, we are able to make changes and give recognition to technicians who received positive feedback,” notes Marketing and Communications Manager Holly Sanson. “Personal touches like handwritten notes are a regular business practice.”

Advanced has also made advances in how it attracts and communicates with prospects and existing customers. Just in the past two years the company established a marketing department that has been creating more brand cohesion and focused on increasing general awareness of its business in the six locations.
