Advanced Cabling Systems Acquires Fire Systems Specialist CENTRALARM

The transaction, which includes about 500 accounts, opens up a new territory in Missouri for the systems integrator.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Systems integrator Advanced Cabling Systems (ACS), based here, signed a definitive agreement to purchase CENTRALARM, a provider of security and fire/life-safety systems in Ozark, Mo. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CENTRALARM employees have joined ACS to form a new southern Missouri location for the integrator. The location will allow CENTRALARM to better serve its more than 500 existing clients – which represent approximately $15,000 in recurring monthly revenue (RMR) – throughout the state and beyond.

“The combination of CENTRALARM’s technical knowledge and experience, along with their fire and security expertise, will allow us to continue to provide our clients with a complete integrated solution in an expanded footprint,” said ACS President Michael Kennedy.

Since 1993, CENTRALARM has specialized in fire alarm system installation, repair, inspections, as well as provided sprinkler and extinguisher services. The company is a Silent Knight by Honeywell dealer.

“The infrastructure that Advanced Cabling Systems is able to provide with a dedicated engineering department, IT staff and CAD designers, will allow us to provide even more attention to detail in a scalable environment,” said CENTRALARM Proprietor Brent Johnson. “We are also excited to have the ability to offer our existing clients additional services to include such technology as audio/video, structured cabling and access control, among various other building technologies.”

Cornerstone Business Advisors acted as financial advisors throughout the transaction.
