MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.

Agilence Inc. has acquired the assets of CA Technology (CAT) from a SBIC consortium for an undisclosed amount of money. CAT, which is based in Mt. Laurel, specializes in the integration of event-based digital video systems.

“This acquisition is the first cornerstone within the Agilence solution cycle that will supercharge business intelligence, thereby increasing efficiency, reducing cost, delivering results … ” says John Sullivan, president and CEO of Agilence.

According to Agilence, CA Technology’s eVision solution suite will serve as the base for a number of innovative solutions planned by Agilence with regard to business intelligence. The eVision product is marketed under three brands, each associated with a different vertical market. All three are secured under four patents: StoreVision, TollVision and GamingVision.
.

Agilence plans to roll out its first release, eVision Enterprise Edition, for deployment in both retail and transportation vertical markets. At present, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which operates the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, is using the Enterprise Edition of TollVision to monitor and audit more than 500 lanes, all centrally located in the New Brunswick area.
