Two companies that specialize in the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems have been named to a prominent business magazine’s list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Actcom Security Solutions of Virginia Beach, Fla., and Red Hawk Industries of Greenwood Village, Colo., were both named to Inc. Magazine’s Inc.500.
Actcom was ranked 91st among the 500 companies on the list, with revenue growth of 926 percent in three years, according to Inc., with revenues in 2004 of $8.3 million.
Meanwhile, an aggressive acquisition drive is what Inc. says led it to rank Red Hawk 177th, with revenues last year of $92.3 million. The magazine says Red Hawk has grown its company 602 percent since 2002. Most recently, Red Hawk acquired Pennsylvania-based integrator BVI Inc.in May.
